For once, she’ll be in a group and not feel out of place.
Drums and dresses, leather and lace.
Drum, dance, shake, all the way to the circle,
Feel the beat as the Beltane fire purifies you in passing.
Two High Priestesses’, one red haired beauty in buck skin,
The other raven haired, all breasts and feathers.
Water and salt, gives us life, air and fire, all walk the circle,
The elementals are called.
Gaia, Cernunnos, Artimis and Hecate join us in our rite.
Nine sacred woods, a wicker man and crowns for the next king and queen.
The ritual is over but the circle is not broken,
The elementals and diety are invited to stay as we dine,
Dance and sing as the Guardian of the circle looks on.
When it is your time to go, knock three times, so mote it be!
OK so the poem isn’t good but there aren’t enough words to explain the ritual. The festival the next day was amazing as well. I took a workshop on New Moon magick and on astrology and both were very informative. Of course there was shopping!
I have never felt so welcome yet out of place at the same time and it’s because I went by myself. I had a blast and shoved myself out of my comfort zone! How did you celebrate Beltane?
Love and Light
